Cheverly's Annual 3 on 3 Basketball Game!

Cheverly Day has many friendly competitions going on, but the most competitive may be the annual 3 on 3 Basketball Tourney, sponsored by the Cheverly Police Department. 

There are three age groups: 8-11, 12-16, and 17+, and winning teams in each category will receive a gift card. 

If you haven't spent some time watching, make sure to visit the Community Center Gym this Cheverly Day -- the first game begins at 11:00am. You'll see some impressive skills and a lot of people really enjoying themselves.

Get ready for a Wild Night!

CHV Prom 2015 kicks off a fantastic Cheverly Day. Join your neighbors on Friday, May 15, 2015 from 8pm until midnight for an evening of fun, laughter, dancing and a potluck feast. In keeping with Cheverly Day theme of Keep Cheverly Wild, CHV Prom’s theme is Wild Nights. Tables are encouraged to be decorated in the theme - which you can interpret however you see fit - be it disco, jungle, or whatever else you come up with - let your imagination run WILD!

Tickets will go on sale April 13 at the Community Center. $15/ticket, $180 for a table of 12. You cannot reserve tickets before they go on sale, but be ready to get yours once they do - they will sell out wildly fast!

Join community groups like Cheverly CERT and be part of the big event: Get involved and share your support for Cheverly Day by sharing information about your organization. Cheverly Day 2015 is pleased to offer tables to our community groups, not-for-profits, local businesses and politicians this May 16! We'd love to see EVERY community group out in force for this big event. Host a table (we’ll provide a table and two chairs – we recommend you bring a tent) and invite community members to learn more about your organization with a fun activity or publicity materials. CHVRun 2015 5k Run/2k Fun Walk

Begin a new family tradition this year: Start Mother’s Day at CHVRun on May 10 at 8:30am. 

We're starting off Cheverly Day week right -- the CHVRun 5k Run/2k Fun Walk! Give the moms in your life a special treat this Mother's Day: Let them sleep in while you brew a pot of coffee, pack up the kids, and head out for an hour or so. Join us for the kickoff to all the Cheverly Day events on the Sunday prior Cheverly Day!

Entertainment at Cheverly Day

Every year, Cheverly Day committee chair David Thorpe gathers some of the best entertainment acts in the area for Cheverly Day. We're fortunate to host artists who play nationally and internationally in our own backyard, and this year is no exception...and we still have a few surprises up our collective sleeves!

Advertising on the Cheverly Day website and blog is a great way to reach an important audience -- your friends and neighbors. We're the source for all things Cheverly Day, and our audience visits multiple times to keep up with the latest news about the big event!

Cheverly Day advertising rates are very affordable -- our rates have remained the same since 2012! Our ads are flat-rate sponsorship, not PPC (pay per click/cost per impression.) Town-recognized community groups get a 50% discount. Ads will be online through January 1, 2016, and include the ad space and a link to your business or community group's website.
