We are so excited for our special Cheverly Day 2016 installation project: The World We Want!
The World We Want is a global community art installation that is opening the conversation in communities across the planet about the world we all want to live in and what we need to do to get us there. The large black wall will consist of multiple squares that prompt the public to write on them with chalk – what world they want to live in, and how they will create this world. Read more about past projects here and here.
Led Cheverly's very own Nicole Garder, this is a great follow-up to our yarn bomb garden installation from last year, and another great way to celebrate creativity and community. Special thanks to sponsor ZipCar for making this installation possible.
Follow The World We Want on Instagram, and tag your photos of our wall this Cheverly Day with #theworldwewant and #cheverlyday. And, of course, keep up with all the latest on Cheverly Day 2016 at our website!

Cheverly's First Yarn Bombing!
Cheverly's first-ever Yarn Bombing Installation is up... See it on Saturday at Cheverly Day!
In collaboration with the Cheverly Garden Club, Cheverly knitters led by Kathryn Andrews have contributed hand knit pieces that span three panels on the Tennis Court fence at Town Park. Flowers have been planted in the pockets, courtesy of the Cheverly Garden Club. Many thanks to Cheverly West for sponsoring this art work. We hope to expand on it next year, so if you are interested in getting involved, please contact Kathryn.
