The First-Ever Cheverly Day BIKE RODEO

Join Cheverly Cub Scout Pack 257 for a BIKE RODEO

Cheverly Cub Scout Pack 257 has a great event for us this Cheverly Day: our first ever BIKE RODEO -- 2:00 to 4:00pm in the Upper Parking Lot at Town Park!

Kids, get on your bikes and take the Best Biker Challenge! Show your stuff by showing off your safe riding skills on a fun obstacle course that shows your very best! (Parents, that's 15 laps around the lot.) Learn, practice, and demonstrate your bike safety skills while having a great time!

Got an old bike taking up space in your basement, garage, or shed? Bring it to the bike drive! Donate your old/broken bikes – the Scouts are collecting for the Washington, DC “Gear-Up” program, which teaches bicycle maintenance and safety to inner city kids. Learn more about this great program here.

Many thanks to Cheverly Cub Scout Pack 257!

New this year: Fit+Fun Cheverly

We're very pleased to announce a new addition to Chev erly Day for 2013 -- Fit+Fun Cheverly! If you think about it, Cheverly Day has long offered great activities to get everyone moving, such as Cicada Crunch, the 3-on-3 Basketball Tourney, and softball. This year, we're kicking it up a bit, and we want you to join in!

Cheverly's own Kelly Fisher will lead a yoga session on the stage at 1pm, and everyone is welcome. You may know Kelly from her Wildflower Yoga classes, leading yoga practitioners in the 85th Anniversary Parade, her bands (she's performed at both Cheverly Day and ChvProm), and Cheverly Community Market, where she plays nearly every Market and is active on the Board. Kelly is a Cheverly treasure -- we're very fortunate to have her with us on May 18! Wear comfortable clothes, and bring water and a mat, if you have one.

Fit+Fun Cheverly -- something to get excited about this Cheverly Day!
