The Cheverly Day Photo Contest is almost here!

Are you getting your photos ready for the Wild Cheverly photo contest?


In keeping with the Cheverly Day theme, Keep Cheverly Wild, the Cheverly Green Infrastructure Committee invites you to enter your photos in the Wild Cheverly Photo Contest. Use your camera and your creativity to celebrate the richness of life in Cheverly and help inspire its protection and conservation. 

  • Take a walk in any of Cheverly’s natural areas or even in your own back yard.
  • Take photos of the nature you see around you.
    • Native FloraTrees, shrubs, vines, fungi, lichens, mosses, etc.
    • Fauna, microscopic to mega: Birds, mammals, insects, in their natural habitats (No pets, please)
    • LandscapesVistas, streams, rocks, soil
  •  Print out your photos, and frame them for best display
  • Bring your photos to the town office between Monday, May 11th and 5  PM, Friday, May 15th      
Judging will take place Friday, May 15th, at 5 PM.
Photos will be judged on composition, technical excellence, and subject: How well does the photo tell a visual story about the natural world of Cheverly? 

Contest judges, all Cheverly residents, are Teresa Castracane, photographer and actor; Michael Callahan, Mayor of Cheverly; and Oliver Smith, award-winning nature photographer.

First place winners will receive gift certificates from Ledo Pizza of Cheverly.  

All photos will be on display during Cheverly Day.
